Introduction
------------

This is an Expenses Database set up to interact with your Desktop. As this database was only designed as part of Learning and Devlopment, it has not been developed to market standards. The functions included allow the user to maintian Multi Currency Transactions and Multi Department Accounting. Although at this point Access is unable to create an 'MDE' file from the database, more development and testing is sure to follow.

Usage
-----

As this uses the VB extensively for Form Actions, the following Programes will affect Reminder Performance :

        - Microsoft Outlook(Express)
        - Bluent's Screen Recorder

Form Actions may be delayed when using these programes with steps taken within the design to ensure high efficiency levels (given designer knowledge).

Procedure
---------

1. Extract all files from the Zip file using their 'Folder Information'
2. Use the Workgroup Shortcut to Join the Workgroup file supplied. Or Add a User Account, 'USER000001'.
3. Startup the Database and after the Workgroup Login, the 'Login Log' Form will be displayed.
4. Enter the password 'new' after selecting the Company to log into and Tax Year.
5. Click the Help (?) icons to view additional help.
6. Item Details must be set up to run Transactions properly.
7. Set up Accounts then Passwords using the Security form, noting that the USER Name and Password Fields are in Password Format. Here you can enter Web Based Email Settings. Always be sure to be in the 'To' Field if running a Web Based Email Send and your Internet Program is already started.

Low Functionality
-----------------

Due to this being a first attempt at linking Outlook to the Database, functions within the forms are considerately minimized and really offer just quick referencing.

Multi Currency/Department
-------------------------

Not all Currency issues can be automated and extra fields are available for the odd ocassions. All transactions are filtered by Department Logged into and Tax Year Selected. Budgeting is not affected by Tax Year Filtering.
